The only catch? You've got to enter the raffle IRL this weekend in Miami.
Last year, longtime partners Pharrell Williams and Adidas dropped the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish -- a hulking, beefed-up runner with a warped silhouette and layers of texture across the upper. It felt like a sly rebuke to the thin-soled torpedo shoes sweeping the sneaker scene, and it proved a bonafide hit, selling out instantaneously despite a rather hefty $300 price tag.
Now, the Jellyfish is back in another hot colorway, featuring highlighter pink details across a clean white base, all set off by contrasting black stripes. The biggest difference between this version and the last? Adidas and Pharrell are giving these away for free -- you'll just need to be in sunny Miami this weekend for a shot at claiming a pair.
The Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish 'Pink' was designed to be a special Friends & Family exclusive, with no plans for a wide public release. Which means unless you're, say, Pusha T, the only way for you to get your paws on these kicks is to enter a raffle at an Adidas activation on Miami Beach (the exact coordinates are 25°46'48.1"N 80°07'42.1"W), which just opened this morning at 10 a.m. ET.
The shoe's drop coincides, of course, with Formula 1's Miami Grand Prix, always one of the hottest, buzziest stops on the race calendar. Adidas has gained a foothold in F1 over the last couple of seasons, coming on as the uniform sponsor for both Mercedes-Benz AMG and the newly debuted Audi team. The release of the new Jellyfish aims to tie in the whole experience under the Stripes' banner.
If you happen to be in Miami for the race and are able to enter the raffle, best of luck. Short of lifting the Miami GP Trophy, a free pair of 'Pink' Jellyfishes might just be the most coveted prize in town.
