Channel 4 viewers have raised identical concerns just minutes into the latest instalment of Celebrity Bake Off.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer returned on Sunday (April 12), showcasing celebrities Emmett J Scanlan, Mark Wright, Nella Rose, Mutya Buena and Ralf Little tackling the culinary challenge.
Guest judge Cherish Finden also featured on the heart-warming programme, appearing alongside regular hosts Paul Hollywood, Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond.
The contestants' opening challenge was to produce pull-apart savoury rolls, followed by vegan fruit tarts, and a revealing task to bake a cake inspired by their most extravagant purchase to date.
Yet it wasn't the baking that drew viewers' attention, as fans united to voice their grievances about the cast's kitchen hygiene standards, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer highlighted that the bakers had neither tied their hair back nor worn hair nets.
They wrote: "Is there no hygiene standards on #GBBO," with another concurring: "Why has no one told them to tie their hair back?"
Another viewer appeared to call out YouTuber Nella and Sugababes singer Mutya's lengthy acrylic nails. "How can they do anything with those nails," remarked one.
While a fellow Channel 4 viewer added: "The nails make me feel sick."
Despite igniting debate online, this episode's line-up has also garnered considerable praise.
Prior to the episode being broadcast, Channel 4 released a selection of reactions from audiences, with numerous people expressing excitement about these well-known personalities returning to television.

One audience member enthused: "Nella AND Alison Hammond in the same space? OH YOU LOVE US," while another declared: "Mutya was on celebrity MasterChef so she can cook - good line-up this year."
And a third commented: "Omg can't wait, Sugababe in the kitchen!"
This series also includes pop artist and performer JoJo Siwa, Love Island alumna Molly-Mae Hague, television regular Vicky Pattison, musician Rag'n'Bone Man, and JLS member Aston Merrygold, amongst others.
As always, the famous participants compete on the programme to raise cancer awareness and generate funds for research.
