Bad Bunny's performance during the Super Bowl LX halftime show remains a point of discussion more than a week after the NFL's annual blow-off event, which saw the Seattle Seahawks defeat the New England Patriots. NBA star Devin Booker -- who joins the recording star as one of Kendall Jenner's former beaus -- was among those asked about the performance, and his response may have reignited an old feud.
Booker was a participant in the NBA's All-Star festivities in Los Angeles over the weekend, representing the Phoenix Suns in the league's mid-season showcase for the fifth time in his career. While meeting with reporters, Booker was asked about Bad Bunny's performance, prompting a comical response from the sharpshooter.
Said Booker (via SM Highlights/X): "I didn't watch, to be completely honest." Booker prefaced his comments by reminding the reporter that he was Mexican, as the question came with an anecdote about Bad Bunny's Puerto Rican heritage. Booker's mother, Veronica Gutiérrez, is of Mexican descent, while his father, Melvin Booker, is Black.
In any case, some took Booker's commentary as a dig at his one-time romantic rival, as if watching the performance would be below him. As tracked by People, Booker was formerly in a long-term relationship with Jenner, who went Instagram official with him in 2021 after the two were spotted together a year earlier. They reportedly split in late 2022, although reunion rumors have persisted. Jenner was later linked to Bad Bunny, with the outlet noting that their on-again, off-again relationship seemingly ended in 2024.
During that time, though, the rapper fired a shot across Booker's bow in his song "Coco Chanel," which included a lyric stating that the "sun in Puerto Rico is hotter than in Phoenix" and "she knows it." Booker initially responded to Bad Bunny in an Instagram comment, writing, "He worried about another MAN again," before deleting the comment (via People).
Before the NFL's championship game was played, Booker teased Jenner publicly for choosing the Patriots as her pick to win. When the Fanatics Instagram page posted a video of Jenner making the pick on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Booker commented on the clip, writing, "I bet a million the Seahawks get that ring before you do," and tagging the Kardashian sister (via BuzzFeed).

Jenner responded in kind, alluding to an ankle injury in her follow-up comment to Booker, which prompted the Suns star to ask her to come rub it for him. For his part, Bad Bunny has had bigger fish to fry recently. Following his polarizing halftime performance -- which was scrutinized by the FCC -- the recording artist unexpectedly wiped his Instagram account.
