A fellow celebrity who has worked alongside Bradley Walsh revealed that The Chase host showed his true character while making him a cup of tea. Bradley, 65, has been a fixture on the UK entertainment scene for decades. He has fronted The Chase since 2009 and has also appeared in Coronation Street, Blankety Blank, Doctor Who and The Wheel of Fortune.
Throughout his time in the public eye, the general feeling is that he's a thoroughly decent bloke away from the cameras, matching his cheeky on-screen persona. One celebrity colleague recounted how he demonstrated his genuine nature with an amusing backstage gesture.
Actor Ryan Thomas was among Bradley's co-stars on ITV soap Corrie, and shared an anecdote that suggests his motto is very much 'what you see is what you get'.
Speaking on the podcast At Home with The Thomas Bro's, which he co-hosts with his brothers Adam and Scott, Ryan described how Bradley revealed his true colours while brewing him a cuppa in the green room.
Ryan left his siblings stunned when, during a conversation about likeable celebrities, he drew a comparison between Bradley and Hollywood megastar Jamie Foxx, reports the Express.
He said: "I was in the green room with him once and he made me a cup of tea. And it was full on like, you make someone a cup of tea, that's it.
"There's not much to it. He made it the most entertaining cup of tea I've ever had in my life. And I was like, not many people can do that.
"He just made the tea but he did a whole like performance with it. It was just like stand up comedy of making a cup of tea, it was entertaining. He can turn making a cup of tea into a story."
Ryan then explained how Bradley had stuck in his mind after he'd watched a TikTok video of him on The Jonathan Ross Show alongside rapper Stormzy.
Bradley proceeded to sing one of Stormzy's tracks, with Ryan noting that The Chase host possesses a surprisingly impressive voice, before the footage concluded with the two celebrities embracing.
Ryan said: "He owned it. That's not easy to do that on a talk show. And he sang it so beautifully to someone like Stormzy, and the two don't match on the couch.
"By the end of it they gave each other a hug and I believed every minute of it, and do you know why? Because that Bradley Walsh is just, what you see is what you get.
"He's got star quality, he's got charisma, personality, he's also got a lot of warmth. You've just got it. Every time you see Bradley Walsh, it's personal, there's no showbiz about him. I want people like that to do well."
