Adam Thomas has opened up about his experience on I'm A Celebrity...South Africa, after a bruising episode aired last night that saw him reduced to tears.
The Waterloo Road star locked horns with Jimmy Bullard during a Bushtucker Trial, and the former footballer ultimately left the jungle during the drama-filled ITV episode.
He has also struggled to get along with former boxer David Haye while in the jungle, which he has addressed in a new episode of the podcast he shares with his brothers Ryan and Scott.
Having watched the latest episodes, which were pre-recorded in South Africa last autumn, Adam spoke about how he had been having a 'good time' at first.
Speaking on At Home With The Thomas Bro's podcast, he continued: 'It was an amazing experience, don't get me wrong and I don't regret any of it but again, there are moments in there where I just have a bit of a tough time in there with one of the campmates.'
Love Island star Scott described Adam's second stint in the jungle as something that 'had a massive impact' on his brother.
Adam admitted he is now in therapy because of what unfolded on the show, saying: 'I know for a fact that I'm not the same person as I was when I went into the jungle to when I came out. It's changed me and that's no exaggeration.
'It's f***ed with me mentally because I just thought, "How is this happening? I'm a 37-year-old man" and I'm like, "How am I letting some other person do this to me in here?"'
Addressing spats with Davd, he continued: 'I said to my therapist, "Why didn't I stick up for myself?" and it was because I was always putting other people's feelings first before mine because I didn't want to bring any attention to this.
'If I say anything now, I'm gonna cause drama in camp, I'm gonna dampen everyone's spirits, I'm gonna cause tension, so I just took it.
'I just took it and took it and took it until eventually it got to a point where I'm literally at breaking point.'
Adam said he laid it all out for David and explained why he was owed an apology. He continued: 'I was like, "Are you not gonna apologise?" and he was like, "I was trying to teach you a lesson" and I was like, "I don't need a lesson off you bro".'
Adam said David did indeed later apologise when the two had a heart-to-heart, saying it 'meant so much to me'.
Adam became emotional and started to cry as he added: 'If I saw that happening to anyone else, I would stick up for them but I just couldn't do it for myself. I just became like a little kid again.'
