He was arguably the biggest celebrity in the world from the mid-1930s until his death in 1959, reaching a level of celebrity that perhaps no one had reached before. A new biography drawing on the extensive use of the Flynn family papers in the National Library of Australia has just been written, and its author, Associate Professor Patricia O'Brien joined Phil on Nightlife.
