Ryan Thomas has revealed the last text that Jake Hall sent him before his tragic death this week, aged 35.
The TOWIE star was found dead at the Mallorca villa he was renting after being involved in a collision with a glass door.
He was found in a pool of blood with devastating injuries, with sources close to the investigation reporting that chest trauma was likely to be his cause of death. Tributes poured in for the TV star, with former Corrie actor Ryan Thomas sharing a heartfelt post about his friend.
Posting a video showing some of the good times he shared with Jake, Ryan penned a lengthy caption, which included a text he received from Jake last week. Ryan said: "You wrote this in a message to me just last week so I'm sending the same one back.
It read: "I love you mate. More than you'll ever know."
Ryan's full post looked back on their friendship, it reads: "The moment I met Jake, I was in awe of him. I found myself gravitating towards him.
"He was always the coolest guy in the room, he had class, charisma, this magic about him that nobody else had. Anyone who met him, even once, remembered him forever. I used to ring him nearly every day reminding him how special he was and how much happiness he brought people through his music, fashion and art. Everything he touched felt effortless, but really it was genius."
Ryan expressed his admiration of his friend, who he claims had a "special gift", and that people all over were "drawn to him". Admitting it took a while for them to become friends, but when they did, there was no looking back.
He explained: "The deep chats , the hysterical laughs even the petty fallouts -- We shared it all. We had the same morals, the same family values, and the same outlook on life: we genuinely wanted people around us to win.
"As I write this now I can hear him laughing saying, 'Shut up you silly c**t.' For all the people that admired his talent, what mattered most to him was always his family. He idolised his dad, adored his mum, and loved his little brother more than words could ever explain.You just felt it every time he spoke about them.
"His next chapter is written in the stars now and it's all about River. I promise she'll grow up surrounded by love and stories about how inspiring & powerful her daddy is."
Ryan's brother, Love Island star Scott Thomas, shared his post, adding his own message. He said: "I can't sit here and say I knew Jake at his core and I never got the chance to have a proper chat with him on a level.... I wish I got that chance because this guy had something that can't be taught.
An energy and magnetism like no other... whatever it was he had it A kind of 'cool' that couldn't taught. A creative genius."
He added how he was "grateful" to hear of Ryan and Jake's "special bond", saying it was clear the two had a strong friendship. He added: "Rest well Jake, your legacy will live on brother."
Jake leaves behind his eight-year-old daughter River, who he shared with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Misse Beqiri. She also paid tribute to her ex, saying: "There was no way you were ever supposed to go. My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter's."
